Understanding small animals to be particularly at risk to wildfires, I created a series of six wildfire shelters for small animals. These may be installed in various configurations in a gallery or site-specifically.

Like the Portable Wildfire Shelters, I reflect on these as Survival Architecture. They are not functional and instead intended as sculptural objects that give the appearance of protection from heat, flame and smoke exposure, encouraging viewers to question the current state of the climate crisis.
