The wildfire shelterwear I create and perform as speculative devices, exist in the tension between protection and illusion. Working in wildfire-prone sites, I temporarily install and perform these devices as an embodied response to the climate crisis. The resulting photographs serve both as a record and invitation, engaging viewers to confront the emotional and psychological dimensions of environmental change and imagine new modes of survival.
